Partant de l’inégalité des ressources éducatives dans le monde et des usages et bénéfices de l’éducation, tant politiques qu’économiques, Hugues Moussy montre les jeux de concurrence, de tensions et de conflits au sein d’un système éducatif désormais mondialisé.

L’Océanie est ainsi un théâtre régional de plus en plus traversé par les ambitions et la concurrence d’acteurs internationaux, qu’il s’agisse de puissances historiquement présentes dans la région ou de nouveaux partenaires comme la Chine. Cette nouvelle donne impose de considérer les États insulaires d’Océanie comme des objets et des acteurs géo­politiques avec lesquels il faut compter. Qu’il soit question de ­souverainetés territoriales, de ressources marines ou de diplomatie du climat, il est nécessaire de décentrer le regard porté sur les États et territoires insulaires pour saisir la culture commune qui sous-tend leurs conceptions et pratiques diplomatiques et sécuritaires.
Au travers d’une analyse historique et géographique, Sarah Mohamed-Gaillard nous permet de mieux saisir la richesse et la complexité de cette Océanie encore largement méconnue.

En mobilisant des travaux de sciences sociales, cet ouvrage donne à voir la diversité de l’animation jeunesse, des lieux, des publics et des métiers. Partie intégrante de l’écosystème éducatif, celle-ci n’est en rien un secteur professionnel marginal et a toute sa place, à côté de l’école et de la famille, dans la formation de futur·es citoyen·nes, en particulier dans un contexte de crise de la cohésion sociale.

Malgr&eacute; tout, au-del&agrave; des changements physiologiques d&eacute;crits, la m&eacute;nopause et ses repr&eacute;sentations renvoient &agrave; une perception tr&egrave;s st&eacute;r&eacute;otyp&eacute;e des femmes, loin des exp&eacute;riences h&eacute;t&eacute;rog&egrave;nes v&eacute;cues par celles-ci. M&ecirc;lant dimension m&eacute;dicale, historique, anthropologique et sociale, C&eacute;cile Charlap livre ici une analyse fine de ce que la m&eacute;nopause dit du regard que la soci&eacute;t&eacute; porte sur les femmes. C&eacute;cile Charlap est docteure en sociologie et ma&icirc;tresse de conf&eacute;rences &agrave; l&rsquo;Universit&eacute; Toulouse Jean Jaur&egrave;s.             <p>Héritages de la Seconde Guerre mondiale pour la majorité d’entre elles, créées avec la mission de garantir la paix, les organisations internationales ont très vite été l’objet de critiques et, depuis quelques années, d’une profonde remise en cause souvent assortie de l’annonce de leur fin prochaine.
On leur reproche de ne servir que les intérêts des États forts, de faire preuve de colonialisme et de néolibéralisme, de bénéficier de budgets pléthoriques autant qu’opaques, d’être aux mains de technocrates déconnectés… Et les exemples ne manquent pas pour illustrer leur impuissance face aux crises les plus ­graves : de l’échec du règlement du conflit israélo-palestinien à l’incapacité des COP à affronter le changement climatique.
Mais n’est-ce pas se focaliser sur la seule ONU, et plus particulièrement sur son Conseil de sécurité ? Et passer ainsi par pertes et profits l’action de toutes ses agences, dont les mandats sont pourtant tournés vers des objectifs de paix, de développement et de réduction de la souffrance humaine ?
Pour nous aider à y voir plus clair dans cette « nébuleuse », mieux en comprendre le fonctionnement et les enjeux, Mathilde Leloup dresse un portrait précis et documenté de ces organisations internationales que nous connaissons si mal.
